As a specialist in family photography in Veenendaal, my passion is capturing real, unposed family moments. I work mainly with families who have young children; my approach is warm, playful and honest. Rather than stiff poses, I look for the little gestures — a hug at the kitchen counter, a giggle during hide-and-seek, or that sticky little hand you hold on the way to the car. Those are the moments that become the photographs you’ll keep returning to. I believe in a documentary, “as-it-happens” style. That means I photograph largely from the background and gently steer when needed, so children can move and play freely. My experience as a teacher and as a mum helps me put even the most reserved children at ease; a headstrong toddler or an almost-teen who says it’s “not cool” — I know how to make the connection. The atmosphere during a shoot is relaxed and fun: classic games, hide-and-seek, tickling and plenty of cuddles are all perfect ingredients.
