I am Monique de Groot, a family photographer working in and around Leerdam. My passion is family photography: capturing small moments, spontaneous glances and the warm connections between parents and children. After the birth of my son Jens, my enthusiasm for photographing families and little ones grew even stronger; that personal experience now helps me create calm and trust at every photoshoot. As a specialist in family and portrait photography, I work from a love of natural, relaxed images. My style is soft, honest and unobtrusive — no forced poses, but gentle guidance where needed so you can enjoy the moment while I capture the real emotions. I combine skills I gained at institutions such as the Sunfield Academy and Eline Froukje Photography with my experience as a real estate photographer, so light, composition and atmosphere are always central. A shoot with me feels like a pleasant afternoon together; I provide calm direction, respond to children’s energy and give parents space to relax. I photograph both outdoors at lovely locations around Leerdam and on location at your home when that feels more comfortable — especially with very young children, that familiar environment often yields the most beautiful results. For expecting parents and child portraits I offer the same warm approach: attention to detail, a peaceful atmosphere and an eye for emotion.
