I am Nelleke Tieman — a spontaneous, bold photographer from Wassenaar with a passion for family photography. After studying photographic design at the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam and gaining experience as a second shooter at Studio Damon, I built my own freelance practice. That background gives me both technical skill and a feel for timing: I notice the moments that truly show who you are. As a family photography specialist, my goal is to slow down the rush of everyday life and capture those small, precious moments. Whether it’s a tender portrait of parents with their newborn, playful children's photos, or warm group images of the whole family, my style is natural, warm and unposed. I give brief guidance only when needed so the atmosphere stays relaxed and your authentic interactions remain central. My approach is personal and engaged. I begin with an introduction so we can get to know each other and clarify your wishes. Together we choose a location that suits you — often outdoors in and around Wassenaar and nearby towns — because natural light and open space beautifully emphasize the interactions between family members. During the session I create a friendly, playful atmosphere so children feel at ease and spontaneous moments arise. Everything I deliver is carefully edited by me: color correction, light retouching and ensuring a consistent look across the full set so your photo report feels like a coherent whole.
