As a specialist in family photography, Studio op de Kop (Barbara Koppe) puts families in Voorburg and the surrounding area at ease. Since 2012 I have worked with people as my subject: from newborns and babies to playful children and extended family portraits. My approach is relaxed and people-focused; I look for genuine moments and interactions so your family photos feel natural and timeless. I enjoy working in the Huygenskwartier in Voorburg — my cozy studio is ideal for intimate newborn and baby sessions — but you will just as often find me in Park Vreugd en Rust for a family shoot in beautiful natural light. While walking through the park I seek out the nicest spots and light conditions so that both group photos and individual children’s portraits arise organically. Because of my calm, patient manner (I am a visual arts teacher in addition to being a photographer), children quickly relax and spontaneous, warm images emerge. How I work: we start with a short consultation to discuss your wishes and the family composition. On the day itself I keep the atmosphere light and enjoyable — that produces the nicest pictures. A family shoot typically lasts about an hour, giving enough time for group portraits, intimate individual shots and playful moments. After the shoot I deliver a selection of professionally edited images via a private, password-protected gallery.
