I am Avji — a mother of two daughters, driven by preserving genuine family stories. As a specialist in family photography in Maassluis and the surrounding area, I focus on capturing the bond you share as it is in that moment: pure, warm and unposed. Not stiff poses, but images in which you recognise yourselves: a laugh, a head on a shoulder, hair in the wind or a spontaneous moment between siblings. My working method is all about slowing down and connecting. Beforehand we’ll briefly discuss your wishes, favourite locations and what matters most to your family. During the shoot I create a relaxed atmosphere — at your home or outdoors in a place that feels right for you — so children can be themselves and moments arise naturally rather than feeling forced. I offer gentle direction when it helps, but mostly I observe and capture those small gestures that mean so much later on. Being a parent myself, I understand the rhythm of family life: the energy of little children, the tender moments with newborns and the confident looks of teenagers. I use that experience to put children at ease and guide parents, so the photos feel authentic. Newborn and baby moments can be captured gently within a family session or planned as a focused newborn shoot when you prefer — always with respect for your pace and comfort. What motivates me is the idea that a photograph can bring you back to that feeling: the warmth, the scent, the little chaos and the love.
