I am Vanessa — a dreamer with a deep love for capturing family portraits in photographs. Since becoming a mother myself, I discovered how precious those small everyday moments are: the honest looks, the togetherness and the little gestures between parents and children. As a family photography specialist I capture these moments with a warm, calm approach and a preference for natural daylight. My style is pure and lifestyle-inspired. I don’t believe in forced poses but in a relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourselves. Whether we shoot at your home, at a beautiful outdoor location in the Krimpenerwaard or in my intimate at-home studio in Krimpen aan den Lek, I pay attention to light, composition and the small story that makes you unique — dad, mom, brother, sister and all the connections in between. How do I work? Beforehand we briefly discuss what matters to you and which locations or moods appeal to you. On the day itself I provide calm, playful guidance so children feel comfortable and spontaneous moments can arise. I take my time, work patiently and create space for hugs, play and the little routines that later turn out to be the most beautiful memories. While my core expertise is family photography, I also enjoy photographing related moments such as newborn and baby sessions or children’s portraits for special occasions (baptisms, communions or birthdays). These additions support my main focus: documenting family bonds and the stories that come with them — always from a natural, loving perspective. I carefully edit images to preserve natural colours and emotion.
