Hi everyone! My name is Thomas Maaskant — I am a photographer specializing in family photography and portrait photography based in Krimpen aan den IJssel. As a father and as a nurse working in elderly care, I approach families with patience, empathy and calm. That experience helps me set a relaxed atmosphere even with shy children, proud parents and loving grandparents. The result is spontaneous smiles, soft looks and connected moments that later prove to be precious memories. Technique and post-processing are not goals in themselves for me, but tools to better tell your story. With professional equipment and full command of Lightroom and Photoshop, I deliver carefully edited, high-resolution images. I take the time to find the best light and always prioritize quality over haste: you’ll notice that in the composition, colors and the sense of calm the photos convey. How do I work? I choose a setting that suits you — often a natural location where children can play and faces can relax. During the shoot I speak calmly, give clear directions and encourage interaction: running together on the beach, walking through the woods or simply cuddling on a bench. My role is to observe and press the shutter at the right moment, so your memories are captured with emotion and authenticity.
