I’m Gonneke van Dijk, based in Gorinchem. After years working as a classroom teacher I turned my passion into my profession and now devote myself wholeheartedly to family photography. As a specialist in family photoshoots I capture the character and the connection between family members: natural, relaxed and with plenty of patience for children. Why choose a family photoshoot with me? Because I bring calm to the session. My approach is personal and approachable: in an easygoing way I take the time to make a variety of images so that children feel safe and can be themselves. I work from my home studio in Gorinchem, which offers a warm, secure atmosphere — ideal for children and (newborn) babies. I’m happy to include personal items such as cuddly toys or a favourite piece of play in the images; those small details make your photos truly personal. What makes my style special is the combination of natural moments and calm, classic portraits. I capture playful interactions as well as timeless family portraits that you’ll cherish for years. With more than ten years’ experience as a professional photographer I know how to approach children so they respond spontaneously, and how to guide parents to feel relaxed in front of the camera. How does a shoot work? We’ll discuss your wishes in advance — indoors or outdoors, clothing advice and any special attention for newborn or children’s portraits. During the session I take the time; everything is possible and nothing is rushed. Afterwards you’ll receive the selected digital files within a short time and you may use them without restriction.
