I am Leontine de Hollander, specialising in family photography and maternity sessions in Alphen aan den Rijn and the surrounding area. My work focuses on capturing real moments: not posed portraits, but the cosy chaos, small rituals and the love your family carries every day. I believe that later the ordinary, everyday images often become the most precious memories. My approach is friendly, calm and observant. During a family shoot I often choose natural light and a location where you feel at home — this can be your house, the park, the beach or any place your family likes to gather. I don’t boss small children around; I join in, ask gentle questions and wait for those spontaneous moments when everything falls into place. So you can expect photos that reflect who you are and how you relate to one another, rather than stiff poses. I see maternity photography as a way of celebrating a special phase: warm, understated and focused on the connection between partners and their (future) children. For baby and newborn photos I also prefer on-location sessions at home; those intimate moments, cuddles and sleepy expressions become priceless over time. How do we work together? First we get in touch and pick a suitable day and location — always with respect for children’s rhythms. During the shoot I create a relaxed atmosphere, giving lots of freedom and space to move and play. After the session you’ll receive a preview and then a personal online gallery with carefully edited images in my style. I also offer professional photo albums as an optional extra so your memories become tangible. Why choose me?
