I am Nico Post and as a photographer based in Rouveen I specialize in family photography. For me a family photoshoot is about capturing real interaction: hugs, a mischievous smile from a child, or a quiet moment between parents. My approach is relaxed and personal: I make quick contact, create a warm atmosphere and help everyone — even the most camera-shy children — feel at ease. My style is natural and understated. I prefer to work outdoors with natural light and like to find locations in and around Staphorst and Rouveen that suit your family. The golden hour, soft backgrounds and subtle compositions play an important role in my images; no forced poses, but genuine moments. This results in warm, timeless family photos and portraits you’ll proudly hang on your wall and later enjoy with your children. How I work with you: first we have a short introductory conversation to discuss your wishes — who should be in the photos, what mood you want and which locations appeal. Together we make a plan; often it helps to prepare a short list at home of group shots that matter most to you. On the day itself I create a calm, relaxed setting: play moments, short prompts and plenty of room for spontaneity. Children are given space to be themselves; I use small props and fun tasks to attract attention and encourage natural smiles without forced posing. After the shoot I carefully select and edit the best images. You receive the photos in a personal online gallery so you can view, download and share at your convenience. My clients often describe the sessions as “relaxed and super cozy” — that’s exactly what I aim for. Privately I live with my wife and children in Rouveen; alongside photography I work in primary education.
