As a family photographer through and through, I focus on one thing: capturing your family as it truly is. I’m Marije Jellema of Marije Elizabeth Photography, based near Kampen/IJsselmuiden, and my work is centred on warm, relaxed family photography with sensitivity and heart. Why choose me? Because I create calm and space during a shoot. With patience and a friendly, cheerful approach I help children and parents feel comfortable quickly. No stiff posing — I prefer interaction, play and those small, priceless moments: a hug, a mischievous glance or a spontaneous smile. I always allow plenty of time; that results in natural, timeless images you’ll want to look back on for years. My style is atmospheric and light-driven. I seek out beautiful light: the golden hour outdoors is my favourite, while my spacious daylight studio in the old EEKA Factory is perfect for intimate portraits and children’s photos. In post-production I enhance the mood of your reportage; I work with realistic colours and occasionally with black-and-white to emphasise emotion. The result is a collection of images with character that warm you from the inside. How I work: we begin with a no-obligation conversation about your wishes and favourite locations. I advise on the best timing, colour coordination and practical tips to keep the session relaxed. On the day itself I make it cosy and approachable — often with a cup of tea and a short get-to-know-you — then we head out or into the studio. After the shoot you’ll receive a personalised online gallery with carefully edited photos so you can choose your favourite images at your leisure. My motivation? A passion for light and the relationship between people and nature. My work is about genuine connection and authentic images that tell your story.
