I’m Marijke from Plaatjes Schieten, based in Borne and working across Twente. As a family photographer I lovingly capture your daily rituals, small hugs and spontaneous moments with attention to detail. My work is all about connection: not posed images, but photos that feel genuine and later tell the story of your family. Why choose me? Those first weeks with a baby, playful pajama mornings, your little one’s hand holding your finger — those are the moments I love to capture. My style is described as warm, natural and authentic; I work a lot with natural light and create a relaxed atmosphere so children feel free to be themselves. What makes my approach special? I combine calm guidance with small prompts and games so there’s room for spontaneity. For newborn and motherhood shoots I’m happy to come to your home: I take my time, move with your family’s rhythm and capture both details and intimate family moments. For family photos and child portraits I often choose natural outdoor settings or a simple, quiet indoor location, and I support styling with my preparation brochure and client closet. Besides shorter, focused sessions I also offer day-in-the-life reportages (2–6 hours) where I really go out with your family to document everyday rituals — perfect for returning to the feelings of that time later on. For children’s portraits I can also create calm, studio-like setups (for example a black background portrait) that focus on the face and personality. My working method is personal and approachable: we start with a meet-and-greet, I give styling advice, and on the day I ensure a relaxed and playful atmosphere. After the shoot I select and edit the images in my signature style and you receive the photos via a secure online gallery.
