I am Annette Konter and family photography is my passion. From my studio on the dike in Volendam I capture families with a warm, calm approach that quickly puts both children and adults at ease. My style is honest and authentic: I enjoy unexpected moments and look for the small gestures and glances that truly define a family. In the studio I often work with hand-painted backdrop cloths from England; they lend portraits a subtle, timeless atmosphere. For families, outdoor locations such as the heath, blossom trees or the characterful Fabriek Zuidermeer are beautiful settings to create story-like images. If the weather is poor, we always smoothly move to my studio so your day doesn’t depend on the forecast. My working method is personal and involved. Before the session we listen to your wishes: what matters most to you, which moments do you want captured, and where do you feel most at home? During the shoot I work calmly and attentively; I talk with the children, guide short playful moments and create a relaxed atmosphere so natural interactions emerge. Afterwards you can select your favorite images in a personal online gallery — that way you decide which photos tell the story of your family. Communion photography and children’s portraits hold a special place in my heart; I love producing dressed-up moments of children and the togetherness of family in timeless images. I also offer a warm, careful approach to newborn and baby photography, both at your home and in the studio. Beyond family photography I have extensive experience with product and brand photography and adding motion (video) for small businesses. I sometimes use that knowledge to develop special concepts, but my focus remains clear: capturing families and portraits with attention and love.
