I’m Yvette — a dreamer, traveler and passionate portrait photographer based in Medemblik. I specialize in family photography: capturing small rituals, big emotions and the spontaneous moments that make a family unique. My style is romantic, relaxed and narrative; I focus on mood and personality so your family recognizes itself in every image. As an experienced family photographer (full-time since 2012) I make sure a session feels like a pleasant afternoon together. Whether we work in my daylight studio at home or at one of my favorite outdoor locations — from the beach and woods to grain fields and cozy interiors — my goal is always the same: create calm and let fun lead to natural photos. With children I work playfully and patiently; I set up situations where they can run, play and be themselves so genuine smiles and meaningful glances are captured. My approach is personal and practical. We start with a short meeting where you tell me who you are and the mood you have in mind. Then we choose the location and setup that suit your family. During the shoot relaxation is central: I give gentle guidance but leave plenty of space for spontaneity. For families with young children I adapt the pace; there’s room for cuddles, feeding moments and breaks so everything goes smoothly. Family sessions can also be beautifully combined with newborn or maternity photography — creating a cohesive memory of these special phases. After the session I make a careful selection and deliver the images in my signature editing style, with attention to natural colours and intimate details.
