I am Milou van der Will — a mother of three, photographer and creator. My heart lies in family photography: capturing those small moments of connection between parents and children, the quiet softness around a newborn, or the playful look of a little one. Based in Hilversum, I work everywhere: in wild landscapes, on the beach, in fairytale-like forests, at your home beside a lovely window, or in my daylight studio in Amsterdam. My style is pure, light and connecting — I seek the most beautiful light and the moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. If being in front of the camera feels daunting, I completely understand. I work calmly and with gentle guidance: soft directions, a chat in between and sometimes a joke — I make the photoshoot a pleasant experience for everyone. My experience with maternity and newborn shoots has taught me how vulnerable and special those periods are. Outfit changes, taking the necessary time and attention to small details are part of my approach.
