Hi! I’m Frances from frn-fotografie, based in Heemskerk. My passion is family photography: capturing those small, honest moments between parents, children and each other—not posed, but real and relaxed. As both a parent and a photographer, I know how precious these memories are. That’s why I focus on creating a calm, comfortable atmosphere where you can simply be yourselves. Why choose frn-fotografie for your family photoshoot? I prefer shooting outdoors — in the dunes, the woods or on the beach — because natural daylight and open space invite spontaneity. My style is lifestyle-focused and warm in tone: soft pastels and earthy colors work beautifully in images and bring a sense of calm to the composition. During the planning stage I help with outfit choices so everyone’s look harmonizes and doesn’t distract from what matters most: your interactions. How I work: we start with a friendly introductory chat to discuss locations, wishes and any ideas you have. On the day of the shoot I keep the mood light and playful; I give small prompts but leave plenty of room for you to interact so real moments can happen. Children are given space to play and explore — those spontaneous moments often create the most memorable images. After the session I carefully select and edit the photos; you’ll receive an online slideshow overview so you can take your time choosing which images to keep. In addition to family photography, I also offer newborn and maternity photography as well as videography. Slow-motion clips are a lovely complement: short 4K videos that preserve the atmosphere and sounds of this time. Across all my work the guiding principles remain the same: authenticity, warmth and recognizability. My goal is always the same: to deliver photos and videos you’ll look back on with a smile.
