I am Marielle Vlaar, and as a family photographer based in Harenkarspel I look for the small moments that truly make a family. My style is defined by warm, painterly light and a narrative approach: natural, dreamy images that place the purity of children, babies and family togetherness at the centre. With a pedagogical background I am experienced in how children respond. I work from calm and patience, responding to the child's experience and creating a relaxed atmosphere in which spontaneous looks and genuine emotions can arise. Whether we photograph outdoors during the golden hour on dunes or beach, or in my studio where I create sensitive fine art portraits, your family's wellbeing and experience always come first. My working method is personal and careful. Beforehand we agree on location and wishes, and I offer styling advice where needed — this helps make the images feel authentic. During the shoot I take my time; I combine directed portraits with playful moments so a varied collection emerges. After the session you receive a personal, password-protected gallery to choose from at your leisure. I edit the selected images with attention to mood and detail, so they work beautifully as wall art or fine art prints. What sets me apart is the combination of technical craftsmanship and a love for storytelling: I search for the light, location and composition that suit your family.
