I’m Kim from kimsfotos, and as a family photographer in Harenkarspel I help families make their most precious, fleeting moments tangible. My style is warm and spontaneous: not stiff poses, but real moments, laughter and small touches that later tell a whole story. I believe photos are keepsakes that should give you warmth again and again — which is why I put so much love into creating and editing every gallery. Why do families choose me? I work with calmness and attention, especially when small children or newborns are involved. I’m often told I can quickly put children and pets at ease; that makes it possible to capture pure, natural images rather than forced smiles. Whether we take a walk on the beach or shoot in the comfort of your home, I seek the light and moments that truly suit you. My approach is personal and clear: we begin with good communication — I listen to your wishes and actively advise on location, styling and atmosphere. During the session I guide you gently so everything stays relaxed; I give direction but always look for spontaneous interaction. After the shoot I select images carefully and edit them with care: color and black-and-white selections that strengthen the emotion and support your story. As a family photographer I’m also experienced in newborn and baby photography; I allow all the time that’s needed and ensure a relaxed atmosphere, especially for at-home sessions. For expectant parents I use the same loving approach — often working with soft, natural light to highlight the connection between parents and their (future) child.
