I’m Susanne from Susanne Lindy Photography, specialising in family photography based in Castricum. My heart beats faster for the small, honest moments between people who love each other: the mischievous look from your child, a proud hug from granddad, or a playful moment with your dog on the beach. Those spontaneous, unposed moments are exactly what I love to capture. My style is soft, honest and natural. I work a lot in the dunes, on the beach and in the woods around Castricum and Heemskerk — places where children can run, play and be themselves. During a shoot I often walk the location with you first to find the nicest spots. I give small prompts or gentle directions now and then, but always without forcing a pose: playing together and taking our time creates the most loving images. As the owner of two dogs myself, I understand how important memories with pets are. That’s why family and children’s sessions often include your four-legged family member — I know how to create calm and space so animals can be themselves. I approach newborn and baby photography with the same patience and attention to detail; the quiet, tender moments between parent and child are given room to shine. Working with me means personal contact and a relaxed atmosphere. I like to start with an introduction — by phone or over a cup of coffee — to learn who you are and what mood you want. On the day itself I provide calm guidance, plenty of flexibility and a bit of humor; children (and adults) often forget the camera is there. Why choose me?
