I’m Inge from Okergeel Lifestyle Photography and my heart belongs to family photography. I truly love photographing families — whether that’s capturing everyday moments at home in a familiar setting or spending an afternoon in the dunes: those are the moments I live for. As a specialist in family photography in Alkmaar, I aim to preserve the everyday, loving moments in which you are truly yourselves. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive. I work predominantly with a lifestyle and documentary-style approach: fewer posed portraits, more play, interaction and small, natural gestures. This works especially well with children — they can be themselves and I capture what happens. Whether it’s a toddler playing with their toes, a baby smiling, or a family walking together along the beach, I look for sincere moments that tell a story. Sessions most often take place at your home, on favorite outdoor locations in and around Alkmaar, or on the beach and in the dunes — places where everyone feels free. For newborns and babies I use a gentle, calm approach so the whole family feels comfortable. For special family occasions such as communion, baptism or birthdays I photograph in the same warm, human style: attention to emotion and atmosphere always comes first. How I work: we start with a short introductory conversation where you tell me what matters to you. On the day itself I create a relaxed atmosphere — usually with few directions, plenty of time for play and room for spontaneous interaction. After the shoot I select and edit the images with a light, warm color tone so your photos remain timeless and the emotion stays central.
