I’m Marilyn from Lotus Photography, based in Rijen and specializing in family photography. As a mother of two, I know how precious the small everyday moments are — the cuddles on the sofa, the cheeky looks from little ones, and the quiet togetherness on a walk. My work is all about capturing those real connections; no forced poses, but photos in which you’ll recognize yourselves. What sets me apart is my calm and playful approach. With my background in childcare, children quickly feel at ease with me. I guide gently, distract when needed, and use simple prompts and little conversations to bring out spontaneous smiles and touches. This is how natural family photos with warmth and authenticity are created — images that truly reflect your family as it is now. My working method is friendly and approachable: we agree on the location and desired atmosphere beforehand (at home, in the woods, or at sunset), I offer advice on clothing, and we follow your family’s rhythm during the shoot. I like to go with the flow — if a baby needs feeding or a child needs a break, that’s completely fine. That flexibility creates relaxed moments and thus the most beautiful, unposed memories. Although family photography is my specialty, I also happily photograph maternity and newborn sessions. In family sessions my focus is always on the connection between family members: playing together, hugging, or simply being quietly together — that’s what I’m after. My style is soft, loving, and pure; I edit images subtly so the feeling of the moment remains intact.
