I am Erick van Rijswick of Epic Fotografie in Venlo, and family photography is my passion. As a specialist in family photo sessions I focus on capturing real moments: the small looks between parents and children, spontaneous smiles, and the tender calm of a newborn. My approach is personal and purposeful — no forced poses, but careful attention to mood, light and emotion. Because I work entirely mobile, I prefer to photograph on location: in the nature around Venlo, at your home or at a favorite place you choose. This flexibility makes it easy to plan relaxed newborn, baby, child and maternity sessions. For newborn shoots I bring soft props and sheepskins; I work calmly and safely, with attention to detail and plenty of patience so both parents and baby feel comfortable. My style is natural and warm. I combine lifestyle-like family photos with subtle direction when needed — creating child portraits and family images that truly reflect you. After the shoot I personally select and edit the images so that color, exposure and composition continue to tell your family’s story. Post-processing for me is not a standard filter: I aim for timeless images you will enjoy looking back on. For special occasions such as baptisms, communions or birthdays I provide reportage-style coverage that captures the flow and small details of the event.
