I am Brigitte of Brittsfabriek and my passion is family photography. From Winschoten I have been photographing families for years in a way that feels real — pure, emotional and without stiff poses. My style is documentary and lifestyle: I work unobtrusively, create a relaxed atmosphere and capture the small, meaningful moments that later form your family’s story. Photography started for me as a child and I refined my craft at the Willem de Kooning Academy. That background shows in my eye for composition and my love of natural imagery. Whether it’s a newborn session at home, playful children’s portraits on the countryside, or a family shoot at your favourite location, I focus on genuine connection, everyday routines and the spontaneity between people (and sometimes pets). A Day-in-the-Life reportage is one of my favourite ways to photograph a family. I document a part of your day in your own familiar environment — breakfast, playing in the garden, napping, cuddles and all the in-between moments. The result is a series of images that don’t feel posed but give an honest, complete picture of who you are. How do we work together? We always start with a relaxed introductory conversation: you tell me what matters to you and I advise on locations and timing. On the day I create a relaxed, playful atmosphere so everyone can be themselves. After the shoot I carefully edit the selected images, respecting natural colours and emotions; the photos are delivered digitally via a secure online gallery. If you wish, I can also create beautiful handmade albums — tangible keepsakes of moments that feel fleeting. I photograph families in Winschoten and the surrounding area, with attention to newborns, babies and children.
