I’m Melvin from Jonker Photography, based in Korrewegwijk (Groningen). My passion is family photography: creating images that are not only beautiful but also feel genuinely like you. My approach is informal and tailored. I’m not a director who positions everyone rigidly; I prefer to work as a ‘fly on the wall’: observing, putting people at ease and stepping in when a moment appears. This produces natural children's photography and family photos that focus on character and emotion. When kids can be themselves and parents can relax, the most memorable images emerge. For newborns I often choose an environment where the little one feels safe: warmth and calm are essential. For older children and families I look for locations that suit you—your home, a nearby park or the charming streets of Groningen.
