I’m Nanda Stam and my passion is capturing families. As a specialist in family photography in Groningen, I look for those genuine, spontaneous moments: a small laugh between siblings, the effortless love between parents and children, or the gentle togetherness during a maternity session. Since becoming a mother myself, I’ve become even more aware of how quickly these phases pass — which is why I want to make your memories tangible and timeless. My working style is personal and relaxed. My studio is a home-based studio, equipped with professional gear but created with a homely atmosphere so everyone feels at ease quickly. I work with both studio lighting and natural daylight and choose the technique that best fits your wishes — sleek and minimal, warm and intimate, or playful and casual outdoors in nature. For newborn and children’s photography I use carefully selected props and materials, often handmade, to give each image extra personality. During a session your story is central. I discuss in advance the mood you have in mind and I’m happy to help with location ideas, clothing and props. On the day I create a calm environment in which even shy or energetic children feel comfortable: I work with patience, humor and gentle direction so natural interactions can emerge. Those relaxed moments produce the most meaningful images. After the shoot I professionally select and edit the photos so you receive a beautiful, coherent series that you can proudly display at home or share with loved ones. My approach focuses on quality and creating images that will still move you years from now. Although my focus and expertise are in family photography — including maternity, newborn and children’s photography — I also offer commercial photography on request. For business assignments I’m happy to prepare a tailored quote, but my heart and expertise remain rooted in capturing families and children.
