I’m Jasja de Wit, a family photographer based in Zutphen. My work is guided by a single belief: the ordinary is extraordinary. Through Day‑in‑the‑Life sessions I capture everyday family life — from newborn and baby moments to children playing, birthdays and family gatherings for christenings or communions. My images don’t just record what happened; they show how it felt. Why do families choose me? Because I work with calm attention and genuine involvement. That creates recognisable, honest images — not posed portraits, but moments in which parents and children are truly themselves. I make sure you are visible in your children’s photo album too — that matters to me. My style is documentary and warm. I observe, listen and wait for the little gestures and unexpected looks. Details and the bigger picture strengthen each other: a hand on a play mat, a laugh at the kitchen table, a bedtime cuddle. These images become a source of comfort and connection later on, evoking stories you’ll want to tell again and again. How I work: we’ll schedule an introductory meeting (online or in person) so I can learn your story and wishes. During the session I follow your family’s rhythm — at home, in the playground or at a location that’s special to you. After the shoot I carefully select and edit the best images. You’ll receive the photos through a personalised online gallery; for many families I also create a short "Look Back" slideshow and assist with designing a handcrafted album that invites you to turn the pages and relive memories.
