I’m Susan from Let Me Tell Your Story and family photography is one of my greatest passions. From Nunspeet I document families in my distinctive, narrative style: honest, pure and unposed. My Day in the Life reportages are not staged sets but the story of a day in your life — breakfast at the table, playing in the garden, the small rituals and those unexpected moments that later become the most treasured memories. Why do families choose me? Because I aim to create images you can feel. I studied documentary photography and I bring that background to every session: I observe, I wait for the real moment and I capture images that show emotion and connection. Many parents later tell me they recognise themselves in the photos — not just how they looked, but especially how it felt. That’s exactly what I do this for. My approach is relaxed and personal. Beforehand we’ll have a short introduction — at my home in Nunspeet, via video or by phone — so I know which moments matter most to you. During a Day in the Life I accompany you through part of your day, sometimes just a morning or from afternoon until bedtime; you don’t need to change your routine. For newborn or baby photography I work with your child’s rhythms and rest times to ensure the session is safe, comfortable and calm for your little one. What can you expect? Natural, warm images full of humour, tenderness and sometimes a bit of chaos — just like a real family. You will receive a personal online gallery with high-resolution images, and I’m happy to assist with prints or designing an album as a tangible keepsake. Based in Nunspeet, I work across the Netherlands — often in and around Amersfoort, but I’m happy to travel further when you wish.
