I’m Marieke from PhotoMarie and my heart is with family photography. As a family photographer in Nijmegen I focus on capturing the small, authentic moments that make each family unique: a spontaneous hug, a mischievous glance from your child, or a gentle touch between parents. My style is warm, tender and natural; I work predominantly with a lifestyle approach where connection and authenticity come first. With a background in orthopedagogy and a heightened sensitivity to emotions (I am highly sensitive), I quickly create a safe, relaxed atmosphere. Both children and adults usually feel at ease without forced posing. I guide where needed with gentle directions, but mostly let moments unfold so the images truly reflect who you are. We choose a location that suits you — at home, in the park, or a favourite spot in Nijmegen — and I document the small interactions that become treasured memories. My working method is personal and attentive. Before the session I take the time to connect so I understand your wishes and the family’s rhythm. During the shoot I work with patience and respect for the pace of children and newborns.
