I’m Annette Kolkman from Familiemomenten, and I’ve been fascinated by capturing family life since my teen years. My specialty is family photography: from children’s portraits and baby/newborn photography to colorful family shoots and intimate day-in-the-life photo reports at home. What drives me is capturing those small, genuine moments—a glance, a laugh, a focused little hand movement—that later become so precious. My approach is intentionally unobtrusive and people-centered. Having previously worked as a communications consultant and photographed extensively in childcare settings and residential care homes, I know how to put children, (grand)parents and caring interactions at ease. I don’t encourage forced poses; instead I create a relaxed atmosphere where you forget the camera is there. That’s when spontaneous action shots and natural portraits appear that truly show who you are. I prefer to work in places familiar to you—at home or a favorite outdoor spot around Duiven—because those environments often produce the most relaxed, authentic images. For larger shoots we arrange a pre-session introduction (by phone or video) to discuss your wishes and decide together which moments are most important to capture. During the session I choose light and composition that enhance the story; technically I ensure clear, well-lit images, always keeping emotion and timing in mind. Whether it’s a relaxed family shoot in nature, an intimate newborn session, or coverage of a family day, my aim is the same: to create lasting memories that children and (grand)parents will cherish. I work with attention and calm, and I find it special to make generations and personal stories visible.
