Hi, I’m Niki — a photographer based in Heerenveen with seven years of experience and a mother of two. I know how quickly family life changes and how precious authentic, recognizable images are. My mission as a family photographer is simple: to make you feel welcome and to create photos you’ll return to with a smile. My approach is warm, personal and relaxed. I prefer working outside the studio — in the woods, by the water, or at a location that’s special to your family. By planning together before the session (for example I create a moodboard and we have a short meet-and-greet) we make sure everyone starts relaxed. No stiff posing, but natural interactions and moments that truly reflect your family. What sets my work apart is a focus on connection and the little details. With patience and a sense of humour I guide children so they feel comfortable being themselves; those spontaneous looks and unexpected moments often become the most treasured images. For larger families I choose locations and groupings that provide calm and clear composition — this helps the session feel pleasant and manageable for everyone. After the shoot I carefully edit the images to preserve natural colours and timeless looks. You’ll receive the photos through a private online gallery, making it easy to choose favourites, share with loved ones, or order prints.
