As a specialist family photographer, I, Jolanda Siemonsma, capture the love and connection in families in a way that feels natural and unforced. Based in Heerenveen and offering both studio and location shoots in the region (Heeg / Sneek), I work according to my Moment Design philosophy: no stiff poses, but real moments. The result is photographs that bring your memories back to how it truly felt. Why choose my family photography? Because I believe the most beautiful images arise when people are relaxed. My approach is warm, attentive and playful — I talk with you, let little jokes and interactions happen, and create room for spontaneity. This gives children the freedom to be themselves and produces pure portraits where personality and emotion come through. Parents often say the session felt relaxed and that the images exactly capture the atmosphere they experienced. My working method is personal and clear. We begin with a short preparatory conversation so I understand what matters to you: favourite locations, special combinations (grandparents joining, for example), or particular mood wishes. On the day of the shoot I ensure a calm pace and a pleasant atmosphere, whether outdoors in the Frisian landscape or in my studio. After the session you will receive a private online gallery where you can easily select your favourites. On request I can also assist in designing an album or ordering prints so those images find a lasting place in your home. I mainly work with families and children, but I also photograph related moments such as maternity sessions — always with attention to honest light, calm and the small interactions between people.
