I’m Anne from Anne Piek Photography, and family photography is where my heart belongs. Based in Terwispel (between Heerenveen and Drachten), I prefer to work with families outdoors or in the comfort of your home. My simple goal is to create images that, year after year, make you look back with a warm feeling. I focus on real moments, gentle emotion and the small interactions that make each family unique. My approach is calm and personal. Before the session I get in touch to discuss your wishes and favourite locations; I’m happy to suggest spots like Oranjewoud, Bakkeveen or Beetsterzwaag because those natural settings often enhance atmosphere and connection. You’ll receive a style guide from me with clothing tips so the photos convey cohesion and a serene look. During the shoot I create a relaxed atmosphere: no stiff poses, but subtle direction and playful prompts that allow children to be themselves and parents to enjoy the moment. This is how spontaneous, loving images develop that reveal your relationships and personalities. What sets me apart is my eye for purity and intimacy. Since I started photography in 2016 I’ve developed my portrait and family work; I love natural light, soft colours and photos that feel like you could step back into them. I put emphasis on contact and trust: I listen to your wishes, welcome your ideas and make sure everyone feels at ease — including the shy little ones. Besides family sessions I regularly work with expecting couples and create portraits, but at Anne Piek Photography family images are central.
