I’m Michelle, a family photographer based in Lelystad and mum to Sophie. For me, family photography is about more than pretty pictures: it’s about capturing real moments — those small glances and spontaneous touches that become so precious over time. I document your story as it truly is — natural, sincere and without forced poses. Why choose a family shoot with me? Because I work from a place of calm and personal attention. I create a relaxed atmosphere where children can be themselves and where partners rediscover how they shine together. My approach is gentle, informal and focused on connection: no rigid rules, just simple guidance and plenty of room for play, laughter and togetherness. As a young mother I understand how valuable these fleeting moments are and how quickly they change — which is why I photograph with sensitivity and an eye for detail. How does a session unfold? I prefer outdoor locations that add atmosphere: think Almeerderstrand, the Ermelosche Heide or the nearby sand drift areas. Outdoors, children can move freely and the best, most natural images are created — especially around the golden hour. During the shoot I take my time and respond to what happens in the moment: cuddles, a kick in the sand or a cheeky grin. This produces photos that genuinely reflect your family. What matters to me is a personal connection and a pleasant experience. Beforehand we discuss your wishes and favourite spots, during the session I keep things light and playful, and afterwards I lovingly edit the images.
