People often say my photos are immediately recognizable by my personal style. As a specialist in family photography in Lelystad, I look for the everyday and record it through composition and color so that the ordinary becomes extraordinary. With 20 years of experience and a background as a neonatal and pediatric nurse, I work with sensitivity to vulnerability, small moments and genuine interaction. I prefer natural light photography: I work without artificial lights or strobes because soft, natural light best supports emotion and atmosphere. That produces images that feel warm, honest and timeless — portraits and group photos that will still be instantly recognisable as your family years from now. How do I work? I favour a relaxed, low-key approach. Beforehand we talk about your wishes and the ways you feel most at ease: at home on the couch, playing in the park or during a short walk through Lelystad. During the shoot I give few instructions and instead look for those small moments — a hand being held, a playful glance, a quiet exchange — moments that show real connection. Thanks to my experience with children I make quick, natural contact; I’m flexible and adapt to the flow of your day. In family photography I especially enjoy working with families with young children, babies and children of various ages. I am also experienced with sensitive assignments that require calm and care; my approach is respectful and warm. Important milestones like birthdays, christenings or first school days I photograph from the same starting point: honesty and attention to small details. My aim is to deliver images that not only look beautiful but also feel like you — photos that later bring back memories of how it truly was.
