During a family photoshoot I first listen to your wishes and actively advise on locations, clothing and timing — whether we head out to well-known spots in the Noordoostpolder like the Waterloopbos or Schokland, or choose an intimate indoor session. I prefer a relaxed, informal style; playing children, a spontaneous hug or a shared glance between partners often make the best photos. By relying on natural light and space I create calm, strong compositions that put your relationships and personalities centre stage. With extensive experience in portrait and family photography, I know how to approach children and newborns: patience, humour and short, clear directions create a relaxed atmosphere so everyone can be themselves. Whether it’s a newborn session, a child portrait or a full family reportage, I capture the moments with minimal intervention so the photos stay natural and the memories remain authentic. Collaboration is important to me. We take time beforehand to discuss expectations; on the day I ensure a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere so your experience is pleasant and straightforward. After the shoot I carefully select and edit the images, always respecting the natural look of the photos.
