I’m Renke — your enthusiastic family photographer in Assen (Drenthe). For over 12 years I’ve been capturing families, relatives and children in a style that’s natural, colorful, joyful and delightfully spontaneous. For me a photoshoot is not just about pretty images but about a pleasant experience: relaxed laughter, playing together and memories you’ll happily revisit. Why choose Renke Fotografie? My strength is catching real moments — from running children and big hugs to subtle exchanges between parents. I capture these moments with an eye for color, composition and emotion so each photograph reads like your story. My approach is personal and low-threshold. We start with a short introductory chat so I know who you are and what matters to you. Before the shoot I advise on location and clothing — in and around Assen I know beautiful spots for every season, and I’ll recommend the best time for soft natural light. During the session I create a playful atmosphere: moving, playing together and short prompts lead to spontaneous, authentic images. Afterwards you receive an online gallery with all selected and edited photos — perfect to share and print immediately. I mainly work with natural light and modern equipment (including a Canon EOS R6 II and my favorite 85mm 1.2) so the images feel fresh and intimate. While family photography is my specialty, I also occasionally shoot maternity sessions and pet portraits — always with the same personal and cheerful approach. My primary focus remains family and portrait photography. Whether you want a classic portrait, a playful session with young children or a relaxed family outing on location, I’ll help make those moments tangible.
