As a family photographer in Assen, my passion is capturing families: the small moments, the connections and the real emotions. At Mirfotografie everything is about natural, relaxed images that show who you truly are as a family — no stiff poses, but touches, laughter and quiet moments that later become family heirlooms. My style is warm, timeless and focused on storytelling: images that still evoke the same feeling years from now. What sets me apart is the combination of many years of experience with families and my background in social work. As a mother of six I know exactly how to include children in a photoshoot: with playful prompts, patience and humour. I love putting children at ease — sometimes by singing along, dancing or stepping back to let spontaneous interactions unfold. Grandparents and larger family groups quickly feel comfortable too; I have extensive experience with multiple generations and group combinations and ensure everyone looks lovingly connected. Our collaboration begins with easy, down-to-earth contact. Together we decide on a location and atmosphere that suits you — whether outdoors during the golden hour or at a favourite holiday spot around Assen. During the session I create a relaxed setting where you can move, hug and laugh. After the shoot you’ll receive the images via a secure online gallery where you can take your time choosing. If you’d like something tangible, I’m happy to preserve memories in a beautiful album: luxurious materials and careful design make it a lasting legacy. My motivation is simple: to give families back what they sometimes no longer feel — the warmth, the bond and everyday happiness.
